for its cool westerly in summer, Yalikavak is located on the
northeastern tip of the peninsula 18 kilometres from Bodrum and
easily accessible by boat or minibus. The overland journey from
Bodrum to Yalikavak provides the visitor with some of the most
spectacular scenery on the peninsula. The road slowly climbs
through fertile valleys and plantations, reaches the top of the
mountain range and provides unbroken vistas of the north and
south coasts before descending to the seaside village of
Yalikavak.
